The Selleck is located in the famed Movie Colony. The Movie Colony is a neighborhood in the City of Palm Springs, famous for the movie stars who had homes here (Bob Hope’s house is our neighbor directly across the street and Bing Crosby and Hedy Lamarr’s houses are a couple down on our street) between the 1930's and the 1960's. It is located in central Palm Springs, making it perfect for all your vacation needs.
Just one mile from downtown Palm Springs, it is a short 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk to all the amazing restaurants, shops and nightlife. The neighborhood itself is very quiet and private, but you can be in the center of it all in no time.
Getting to and from the airport is also a breeze, just 2 miles and 5 minutes away.
Ruth Hardy Park is 2 blocks down the road. With 22 acres, play structures, 8 tennis courts, 3 volleyball courts and a basketball court, the park is perfect for families and sports enthusiasts.
Just north of Ruth Hardy is the Wellness Park. The Park offers a quarter-mile walking/jogging loop with drinking fountains and benches at regular intervals, five exercise/fitness stations, and various gardens – meditation, memorial, and a healing and fragrance garden with a bubbling fountain.
If you are really looking for some adventure, Joshua Tree National Park is only 40 miles away.
It is also worth noting that The Selleck is not located in the wind zone of Palm Springs. North of Vista Chino can get very windy at certain times during the year. Luckily we are South of this area.
